 Just wanted to say thanks for a great experience this morning given the circumstances. Everyone was very quick and helpful both on the phone and in person. We won't hesitate to bring Killian back to Hickory in the future.

We would like to take this time to say Thank You to each and everyone who took great care of Chico in his time of distress.  We were very worried at one point that we were going to lose him, but I asked friends and family to pray for him, and I also asked God to guide the surgeon's hands as well; and I am very happy that all our prayers were answered.
I have come to Hickory on other emergency visits with Chico, and have had good experiences here, and this last one was great too. The staff really care about the animals and it puts the owner's mind at ease knowing they have left their beloved pet in their hands, so in closing once again I would like to say Thank You to each and everyone who took care of our Baby Boo/Chico.  He is doing great now thanks to the dedicated doctors and staff at Hickory Veterinary Hospital.

Dear Hickory,
We can not thank you enough for the care you all gave Daisy.  Everyone was so caring and compassionate.  She was a difficult case and you all showed great strength and presence of mind during her painful days.  You were all so patient and sweet to us as well.  You made us feel at home.  Everyone explained things to us in a way that allowed us to understand what was happening and make informed decisions. Your actions made a stressful time much easier for us.  We appreciate how accomodating you were.  It was truly the best small animal hospital we have ever worked with.  you are all talented and hard working people.

Dear Hickory Vet Hospital and Staff,
I just wanted to thank you for the first class teratment you gave our dog Dusty during his last couple of months.  Everyone was so caring, competent and professional that I was honestly in awe.  You took great care of Dusty and spent plenty of time with us explaining all aspects of his care.  I also appreciate that you offer the service of euthanasia at home, which in Dusty's case meant that he could spend his last day in his favorite location.  Please keep doing what you are doing!

Dear Nancy and company:
I wanted to let you all know how much I appreciate the outstanding care my cat Dash received while dealing with that bizarre tail infection and eventually the tail amputation.  Everyone at Hickory - the veterinarians, vet techs, and front desk staff - was amazingly communicative and compassionate.  It made this ordeal much easier for me to bear.  You were all very generous with your time and very patient with my incessant phone calls and questions. 
I know Dash recieved the best possible care at Hickory, and I greatly appreciate everyone's efforts to bring him through this crisis.  He's doing very well and is happy to be able to go outside and chase chipmunks again.

Hi Dr. Brown,
My name is Robin and I am not sure if you remember...I brought in a stray kitten that looked really bad about a month ago.  It was a Saturday and his head was swollen and he was anemic from the fleas and he was infected from cuts and bites.  You gave him a blood transfusion and treated him with antibiotics.  I named him Sori "The Survivor".  He is a happy cat and he is loving his 3 big brothers: Sangi, Spirit and Simba.

To Dr. Brown & Staff,
Words cannot express the gratitude we feel for the kind words and cards we received during our time of loss.  As all of you know, Kody was a special part of our family.  We are so appreciative of the care and friendship extended by everyone.  I guess you all know that Kody felt "special" whenever he came to Hickory, whether it was time for therapy sessions with Melody or coming for tests and follow-up visits.
For those that didn't see, he loved to lay near the entrance door so he could watch everyone like the greeters at Walmart.  Most of all, I thank you for giving him love when it was time for him to sleep.  I couldn't bear to see him close his eyes for the last time, so I'm forever grateful to all of you for making sure people who cared were there and he wasn't alone.  In the spirit of Kody and his favorite song:
     "Thank you for being a friend.  Traveled down the road and back again.  Your heart is true, you're a pal and a confidant.  And if you threw a party, invited everyone you knew, you would see, the biggest gift would be from me.  And the card attached would say...Thank you for Being a Friend!!"

Dear Dr. Leimkuhler,
I have to say that my wife and I were extremely pleased with the way you and your Vet Tech treated Bailey for his neck injury.  The way you took the time to thoroughly inspect Bailey and explain our choices was way beyond what I would call good service.  It was exceptional!
I just wanted to say that Bailey is doing fine and seems to be back to his old self, barking and trying to eat the mail man.  He thanks you for all your help.

We want to thank Dr. Dobbins and all at Hickory for the great and compassionate care you gave to our beagle Dickens over many years.  It would be so nice if dogs lived longer and spared us the heartache of them getting ill and old.  Their lives are so relatively short compared to ours.  That makes caring for them all that more special.  Choosing the best veterinary care for Dickens was an important part of our commitment to him to give him a life as free from illness, injury and pain as humanly possible.  We believe Dr. Dobbins and Hickory helped us honor that commitment.  Your kindness, veterinary skill and knowledge went a long way to giving our beloved pet a much better life, and us peace of mind and happiness with him. I can only imagine how difficult your jobs are given that often you are called upon to care for animals, who can’t talk, at a time when they are injured or sick.  I know in the daily grind of life it is easy to miss the impact that we make on others lives.  I do hope that our thanks will give you a moment of pause to feel proud of the good and kind work that you do.  Your work makes a difference and that is a pretty special thing.

Simba is back to normal…driving me crazy!!! He is still into everything, but it is worse now…all the toys in the world cannot keep this little guy busy.

We just wanted to thank the staff at Hickory for their care of our dog Chloe during her recent illness. We especially extend thanks to Dr. Laura Barth for all her patience and gentleness. She was never too busy to answer our questions and concerns. She is a true asset in our opinion. We also thank Dr. Hutton for her continuing care and concern for Chloe. Her professionalism is always present to assure us everything was being done for our dog. These qualities are appreciated always during these stressful times.

To the entire team at Hickory,
On Thursday 9/2/2010 I had to bring in my 13 year old little Angel. On Friday 9/3/2010 we had to put her to rest. It was  an inevitable ending to a wonderful life. While devastating, ALL of you were unbelievable. The vet on Thursday was wonderful and on Friday. I can’t even put into words how amazing the doctor and team at Hickory were in dealing with myself and my very emotional family.
You are all excellent professionals and even better people. I will be forever grateful for all of your help.

Dear Dr. Brown,
Although we verbally thanked you for caring for Bailey, I wanted to reiterate how much we trust that you did everything you could to save our Bailey. I am somehow thankful Bailey had her emergency symptoms on Sunday night, that made us bring her to Hickory at 3AM. We do feel we were led to you so we could have 6 more blessed days with our first “baby”. She truly was a one-of-a-kind dog who brought an incredible dimension to our family. The joy and love she taught us and brought to our lives gives us many many smiles. We so wish she could have been saved from this “disease”. The hole in our hearts hurts very much but I know time will heal. Thank you for the knowledge and love you have for animals, especially for our girl who you didn’t have an opportunity to know well. Please share a special thanks to your staff as well – they were wonderful.

Dear Dr. Brown,
Sadly, this weekend we lost one of our best friends, Lexi. And although she will be greatly missed, we were happy to have as much time with her as we did. We owe it all to you… when we first learned that she had cancer, a couple of vets said that she would only live a month or so. But with your outstanding help, we were able to add nearly another year to her life. And for that we will forever be grateful to you. Your hard work and caring made all the difference in the world, and has had a huge effect on our lives. So for that we thank you, and if she were here, I am sure Lexi would thank you too.
