Bridgette Alam earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Prince Edward Island (Atlantic Veterinary College) in Charlottetown, PEI, Canada in 2007. She is originally from Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, and she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. After completing her Veterinary degree, Dr. Alam moved to Los Angeles, California where she completed a one year small animal rotating internship at the California Animal Hospital and Specialty Group. She then moved back to the east coast to Rhode Island where she practiced as an Emergency Veterinarian for 3 years. She then moved to Boston where she worked as a General Practice Veterinarian for the next 4 years before relocating to Pennsylvania, and joining the team at Hickory Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Alam has a special interest in internal medicine, wellness and senior care. In her spare time, Dr. Alam enjoys yoga, baking, hiking, travelling, and spending time with her family.
