Dearest Hickory Clients and Friends,
Firstly, we wanted to extend our gratitude to all of you for your continued support and patronage as valued members of our Hickory family. You have stuck with us through a pandemic and transition into a new generation of ownership – and for that – we thank you!
You have endured a lot of changes over the past year, and perhaps the most stressful was the relatively impersonal experience that is unavoidable with curbside veterinary visits. We assure you that our protocols for the past year have been designed and implemented based on countless hours of research and consideration. Our staff did an excellent job adhering to these protocols, and as a result of their combined diligence and your respect of our changes we are proud to report that Hickory had ZERO on site outbreaks of COVID 19 over the past year!
Additionally, although you were unable to witness the behind the scenes at Hickory, we are also extremely proud of the level of care that our staff continued to provide during this unconventional time. All our staff members met the challenge, and they put their health and safety on the line to ensure that all of our patients received the attention and the medicine that they required. If you get a minute to thank our employees, we encourage you to take the opportunity to do so.
With the recent change in COVID restrictions, we are looking forward to returning toward a more normal experience here at the practice. As we prepare for the next phase of our tenure, we are planning a soft opening of the practice. Renovations have delayed our timeline slightly – as we have been working on modifications to our lobby and added an additional examination room with the intention of streamlining the experience here at Hickory for all our clients and patients.
Phase 1 will include opening the building to allow for check in and check out procedures at the front desk. This will be initiated on MONDAY 6/14/21.
Phase 2 will include allowing normal visits in exam rooms with your pets and your doctors. We have not been able to definitively determine the timeline here, as renovations are near, but not yet complete. Again, we appreciate your patience, and the short answer is SOON.
-Masks will still be required for persons entering the building, and we can provide one for you upon request if necessary.
-We ask that you try and limit the number of attendees to appointments to less than two persons, and practice social distance when appropriate while on the premises.
-Curbside options will remain available for those persons who prefer this experience.
If you are feeling ill, have a fever or cough, please have a family member or friend bring your pet in for their visit.
Here’s to getting back to normal!
