Meet Our Team

William Kay, Jr., is a third generation veterinarian and son of Dr. Nancy Brown, the clinics previous owner, and grandson of the clinics founder, Dr. William Brown.

Dr. Tiffany Kay is co-owner of Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital since 2020 with her husband, whose grandfather started the practice over 65 years ago.

Dr. Laurie Bergman is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed an undergraduate degree in Biology at Barnard College, Columbia University.

Stacy Santoro Binstock is a New Jersey native. She completed her undergraduate degree in animal science at Rutgers University and earned her DVM from Iowa State University in 2002.

Kevin Byrne is board certified by the American College of Veterinary Dermatology, which is the only institution whose members are recognized by the American Veterinary Medical Association as veterinary dermatology specialists.

Dr. Georgia Christensen grew up in East Providence, RI with her parents, three siblings and numerous pets. Prior to veterinary school she attended Northeastern University in Boston, MA where she graduated with a degree in Biology.

Dr. Joanna Cronquist is a 2016 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. She is very interested in all aspects of medicine and surgery and plans to pursue a residency in behavior after spending a few years in general and emergency medicine.

Dr. DelGiudice graduated from Purdue University in 2002, then completed a residency in emergency medicine and critical care in California between 2004 and 2007, becoming board certified by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care in 2009.  

Originally from Baltimore, Jonathan received his undergraduate degree in biology from Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Geis grew up outside of Philadelphia in Bucks County, PA. He went to Gettysburg College for undergraduate and graduated veterinary school at Virginia Tech in 2013. He completed a rotating internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in 2014.

Dr. Melissa Goodman is a 1979 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Molecular Biology with a minor in French, and a 1983 graduate of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Goodwin specializes in Interventional Cardiology Services, including implantation of pacemakers, closing abnormal vessels with self-expanding devices, angiography to visualize vascular defects, and balloon valvuloplasty to open narrowed vessels in the body.

Dr. Guth grew up in the Mt. Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia with her dog, Sheba, and a parade of cats and a couple of horses along the way.

Born and raised in Connecticut, Dr. Cecelia Helenski attended the University of Rhode Island in the pre-veterinary program in the department of Agriculture and Animal Science. She graduated with her B.S.

Dr. Sean Kent grew up in Chester Springs, PA with his 3 siblings and numerous dogs, cats, horses and donkeys which is where his love for animals began.

Seth Koch, was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, educated in Binghamton, NY for undergraduate studies and received his degree in veterinary medicine in 1965 from the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Caroline Kozar grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs and completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware.

Dr. Mecca grew up in Jessup, PA, a small town outside of Scranton. Prior to veterinary school, she attended Brown University for her bachelors and master’s degrees.

Dr. Michael Messina graduated with a B.S. in Biology from University of Pennsylvania, later graduating from University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine with his VMD. 

Dr. George Motley is a Pennsylvania boy at heart. He was born in Landsdale, PA. He obtained his undergraduate degree at Penn State University where he graduated from the University Scholars Program with honors in Film and Video.

Dr. Brittany Neal received her bachelors degree in animal sciences from Cornell University and her veterinary medicine doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Jaclyn O’Pella grew up in the Philadelphia area and currently resides in Roxborough. She studied chemistry at Haverford College and graduated in 2004.

Maria Pansulla grew up in Scotch Plains, New Jersey with her two siblings and their dogs. She attended college at Northeastern University in Boston, MA and graduated with a degree in Health Science. She then received her V.M.D.

Jennifer Reetz is originally from Easton, Pennsylvania. She received her undergraduate degree from Penn State University in 1993 and then proceeded to the University of Tennessee to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1997.

Dr. Saverino is a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC). She grew up in Raritan, NJ and obtained her Bachelor's of Science from Rutgers University in 2007.

Dr. Slater completed his veterinary degree from University of Glasgow, Scotland. After graduation, he completed a small animal rotating internship at the Ontario Veterinary College (Go Gryphons!) and a diagnostic imaging internship at Washington State University (Go Cougs!).

Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Erica Snihur received her undergraduate degree in biology from Drexel University. She then went on to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
